Jock Ratties, "the philosophical football manager", was recently appointed manager of Northern Albion F.C. on the eve of their first ever campaign in the Premier League following an exhaustive search for the right man by the club's reclusive benefactor and current Chairman, Sir Rufus Chequer-Karn.
Jock has a strictly "old school" approach to the game and often finds himself very much at odds with current thinking. It is therefore fortunate for him that he is ably assisted by his eager young number two, Julian Wright-Jess, a 21st Century modern man if ever there was one. But perhaps more importantly, although less acknowledged, is the contribution made by Mrs. Enid Chimp, the "most successful tea lady in the history of Association Football". If you find such a description surprising then read her biography page to see why she fully deserves such an accolade.
